Connect is our informal, interactive, intergenerational service at 10:30am on the 3rd Sunday of the month at our St John's Site.  It lasts for about an hour.

At Connect, we aim to:

  • connect with God the Father as we worship and pray together
  • connect with Jesus as we explore the Bible together
  • connect with the Holy Spirit as we share stories of God's work in our lives
  • connect with each other as we spend time together

Connect 1When you arrive for a Connect service, the space will look rather different from normal with chairs set up "cafe-style" around tables. If you're not sure where to sit, one of our team of welcomers will help you find a table with friendly people!

In keeping with the cafe-style, we serve breakfast from 10:15am.

At Connect services, there is less talking from the front and more interaction around your tables.  We aim to create a safe space where people of all ages can share with each another, learn from one another and pray together.  The activities vary, but always include:

  • worshipping God together in song - a mixture of lively songs (some of them with actions!) and quieter, reflective music
  • a story from the Bible, often via a video
  • a variety of craft and other activities, sometimes individual, sometimes as a table, designed to encourage conversation
  • sometimes a game or a quiz to get you thinking
  • one or more questions for reflection
  • a creative approach to prayer

Planning your Visit

New to Church?

If you're coming to Holy Trinity with St John's for the first time, this information will help you know what to expect.

Where and When?

Our 8am service is at our Holy Trinity Site (location details here).

Our 10:30am service is at our St John's Site (location details here).

For more information about our different Sunday services, please click here.

What about my children?

We actively welcome families with children of all ages. If your child is a baby or a toddler, they will remain with you for the duration of the service. A welcomer will give you a Toddler Bag as you come in - these contain a variety of toys and games to entertain your child. We are aware that it can be very hard for a toddler to remain in their seat throughout the service. If your child is getting restless, there is space on the carpeted area at the back where they can move about - and don't worry at all if they make a noise!
