Messy Pancakes
2nd March 2025
We loved welcoming so many people from our local community for Messy Pancakes on Sunday 2nd March.
During the afternoon we thought about some of the challenges Jesus faced during his time in the desert, and we completed plenty of challenges of our own. We made parachutes, treasure boxes and desert scenes, built towers, competed to flip the most pancakes, decorated stones and pancake faces, played Jenga and hunted for desert creatures all around the church.
In our celebration we learnt that, although he faced challenges in the desert, Jesus chose to love and trust God, rather than to use his powers selfishly. We even sang a song with the word "pancake" in it!

Thanks to all our hardworking volunteers, and especially our two chefs, who lost count of how many pancakes they produced!!

Our next Messy service will be Messy Easter on Good Friday, 18th April 2025 at 10am at our St John's Site.
