London Penge CAP Debt Centre: Volunteers Needed

We are looking for people to join our wonderful team of volunteers. Our debt centre is open Mondays and Wednesdays during term times.

Are you:

Longing to see people released from debt, poverty and its causes?
Compassionate and caring and able to come alongside those who are struggling with the effects of unmanageable debt?
Passionate about seeing people connect with Jesus and experience the freedom He brings?

As a volunteer you will join our debt coaches at client meetings and help to host events. You can also keep in contact with clients and help them with practical tasks and offer to take them to church events.

You will need a clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. We can work with you to obtain this. We will meet you to discuss the role and we will ask you to do a small amount of online training, including safeguarding.

If you're coming to Holy Trinity with St John's for the first time, this information will help you know what to expect.

Where and When?

What about my children?

We actively welcome families with children of all ages. If your child is a baby or a toddler, they will remain with you for the duration of the service. A welcomer will give you a Toddler Bag as you come in - these contain a variety of toys and games to entertain your child. We are aware that it can be very hard for a toddler to remain in their seat throughout the service. If your child is getting restless, there is space on the carpeted area at the back where they can move about - and don't worry at all if they make a noise!
